Spring is in the air! Soon many different, brightly-colored birds will return to the area. Detroit Lakes is host to the state’s largest Festival of Birds, held May 15-18. The first outdoor juried street faire takes place May 31-June 1 in downtown Detroit Lakes.

Detroit Lakes is named a Capital for the Day by the Minnesota Sesquicentennial.
