Guest runners hitting the Detroit Lakes course thoughout the years have included Alberto Salazar, Carrie Tollefson, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Bill Rodgers, Don Kardong, Doug Kurtis, Patti Catalano Dillon, Frank Shorter, Bart Yasso and Kathrine Switzer. This year's guest legend is Bill Squires, who has coached some of the nation's greatest marathon runners.
