10:00 a.m. - 11:00 am                                                                                                                              Visit the Becker County Historical Society and Museum at 714 Summit Avenue, where the present meets the past. The executive director will provide an intriguing look at the history of early settlements and resort tourism of this unique community on the border of the prairies and the pines.

11:15 am - 12:15 p.m.
Choose from downtown, lake side or several other options for lunch.

12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Spend a leisurely afternoon at the City Park by the beach. Flowers are blooming in the raingarden next to the chainsaw art. Learn more about the raingarden from the interpretive sign. Tuesdays and Saturdays you'll find locally grown produce at the Farmers Market in the park from 10 am-2 pm. For a fun afternoon on the lake, rent a pontoon and cruise the Detroit Lake. Afterward, head straight north on Washington Avenue to tour the unique gift stores and specialty shops.

5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Nostalgia meets lakeside beauty when you take in fine cuisine at historic Hotel Shoreham on beautiful Lake Sallie, Fireside on Detroit Lake, or Spanky's Stone Hearth on Rose Lake just ten minutes away. Many other options from local fare to Mexican and Italian abound in the Detroit Lakes area.

8:00 p.m.
The Historic Holmes Theatre provides a fitting conclusion to your day in Detroit Lakes. Relax and enjoy live entertainment through music, dance or drama. All the style of a big city show, with the touch of small town hospitality! The Historic Holmes Theatre, a 1932 newly renovated 837-seat art deco theatre, is located at the Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center at 806 Summit Avenue.
