Fall
Temperatures are pleasantly cool, but the action stays heated up. Bike through the maples, brilliant in bronzes, rusts and gold. Run in the Dick Beardsley 1/2 Marathon and 5K run. Hunt for a pumpkin and celebrate at a Pumpkin Fest. Take a step back in time at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollag.Join us for a self-guided tour of the fall colors. The leaves are just starting to turn - maps of fall color tours are availble.
Hunters, slip on the camo and check out public hunting lands or reserve a spot at a shooting preserve where you're guaranteed to see game birds.
Winter
A blanket of snow gives Detroit Lakes a new dimension. Becker County's 200 plus miles of snowmobile trails connect with systems in every direction. If you prefer moving under your own power, check out more than 50 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails.Then of course there's curling, hockey, skiing, skating, sledding...
